Where Would I Love to Show?

Before yesterday, I had never visited the Slade. I’d seen its output through students and friends of mine, but never the building they worked from. I always find it a funny thing to encounter an artist’s studio space – it’s untamed, raw; or at least it should be. Compared to the cleanliness of CSM, the Slade retains a stronger sense of an identity. Maybe that comes in its cracks? The parts they expose?
I have to say, if I was ever given the opportunity to choose a location to exhibit in London, the Slade has to be up there. Not because of the school, I just LOVE that building; and within a scientific area of the university, that presents a really interesting juxtaposition to me. One day…
