CulturePig is an anti-hierarchical forum – no pig is higher than the other, we are all stuck in the mud together.
You can contribute in a multitude of ways: write a review, respond to a review, ask a question, or simply discuss your ideas with The Drift. Exploration is encouraged: to disrupt your assumptions, reflect on how you feel, or record that nice conversation you had with a security guard in a gallery.
All you need to do is POST.
Write a review
All exhibition reviews are posted to EXHIBITIONS, and those which provoke new ideas will be shared to CONVERSATIONS for others to discuss and challenge.
If you want to submit a picture, mention it with the submission and we will contact you. Please note you need to be responsible for the image copyright.
Respond to a review
Any exhibitions that have been posted to CONVERSATIONS are open for commentary. Everything is there to be challenged. Remain anonymous or hold a name to your opinion. Simply comment on the post directly, or reply to comments as part of a discussion.
Conversations don't necessarily have to start from an exhibition. If it’s a conversation you are hoping to start, then do so.
We ask for respect towards others. Any hateful comments will be removed.
We ask that all pigs write a little about themselves, when starting threads or contributing to larger reflections. This is supposed to be a simple list that highlights aspects of oneself that could illuminate the perspective being offered. If you hadn’t eaten the morning you went to see an exhibition centred on Dutch still lives, or you’re colour blind and enjoyed an Amy Sherald retrospective, these things matter.
To help out the pigs who don’t want to get all the way up in the mud, we spotlight specific reviews and shows.
